The storm clouds parted on Friday morning giving way to a glorious afternoon, as children danced and proud parents looked on and flags stood up proudly at the tops of their poles, bowing to the summer breeze. As in all the 59 years past, PS 32 on Norman Avenue drew an enormous crowd, all eager to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the school’s famous Flag Day celebration. In attendance were notable community leaders including Assemblyman Joe Lentol, North Brooklyn Development Corporation Executive Director Rich Mazur and 33rd district city council candidates Stephen Levin and Evan Thies.
