ROBBERY:
6/28
Nassau Avenue:
At around 1AM, two unknown perps entered a store and demanded cash from the man behind the counter, brandishing a black hand gun. The perps then entered behind the counter and removed an unknown amount of cash from the register, and some cigarettes. Perps then took the man’s wallet and cell phone, and fled on food. Though there were cameras at the location, and a full canvass of the area was conducted, no arrests have been made.

ASSAULT:

Kent Avenue:
There was an argument over money that resulted in one man punching another with a closed fist to the side of the face, causing immense pain and swelling, then throwing a fan and striking him on his left shin causing laceration. He was taken to the emergency room where his wounds were treated. No arrests were made.

BURGLARY:
6/22
Humboldt Street
The victims state that the door leading into their building was locked after the last person left. Upon return, the first victim states that he came into the building and the front door was wide open. In addition, there was considerable damage to the door and lock. Upon inspection of his own apartment, the first victim discovered that an unknown perp had broken in and stolen his Apple Mac Book, an Ipod and a camera. No arrests have been made.

Skillman Avenue:
A little after 4 am, unknown perps entered through the front window of an apartment and lifted a laptop, hard drive, ipod, camera and video camera before exiting the building through the front door, leaving it propped open. The victim’s roommates were home at the time of the burglary, but were sleeping and did not hear the perps enter the apartment. No arrests have been made.

Greenpoint Avenue
Perps broke through a skylight to obtain entrance to a heavily-secured building—equipped with a three-foot security gate and alarm system. No property was stolen, and no arrests have been made.

Meeker Avenue
Unknown perps entered an apartment by breaking the glass on main door of the building and breaking down the apartment door. They then stole a Sentry Ditigital safe, containing a social security card and other property. No arrests have been made.

Nassau Avenue
The victim claims he parked his van on Nassau Avenue. When he returned to where he’d parked, he discovered his passenger side window broken, and his camera and tools missing. The stolen property is worth roughly $2960. The owner of the garage told the victim he had a recording of the perp breaking into his van, however no arrests have been made.

Broome Street
Unknown perps broke into an apartment and stole an Apple Laptop and a flatscreen television monitor. It appears the perps entered the apartment through the back window, which is connected to the fire escape. No arrests have been made.

Kingsland Avenue
The victim left his residence and returned at 2PM on Friday afternoon. Before he left his apartment, he mphasized that all windows and doors were closed and locked, however upon return he discovered that, though the chain on the main door leading into the apartment was still locked, his bedroom window was open. His bedroom was ransacked, and $2000, jewelry, an ipod and an unknown amount of Polish currency was missing. No arrests have been made.

GRAND LARCENY:

Greenpoint Avenue
The victim left her purse on the counter of a bar to go to the bathroom, and when she came back her debit card, cell phone, keys and Metro Card were missing. She immediately cancelled her cards, and no arrests have been made.

Lorimer Street
The victim discovered her Visa card missing at her residence. She doesn’t know whether the card was lost or stolen, and has notified her card company. A perp attempted to use the victim’s credit card to purchase a Metro Card. The victim was notified. No arrests have been made.

Manhattan Avenue A perp showed up at a woman’s apartment and demanded to see her son. The resident and the perp engaged in a verbal dispute before the perp snatched the resident’s cell phone out of her right hand. It has been determined that the perp and the resident formally live together and have a child in common. There are no signs of physical injury and no force was used to obtain the cell phone.

Meserole Avenue
The victim attests that she left her bag unattended and it was taken by perps who then fled in an unknown direction. No arrests have been made.

6/23:
Bedford Avenue
The victim was selling bedroom furniture on craigslist. Someone saw the ad and emailed the victim, explaining that they were interested in purchasing the furniture and that they would send along a certified check. The buyer sent along the check for $3500. The victim deposited the check into her account upon its receipt, and sent $2000 to an account in Iowa. A few days later the victim noticed that her bank account was frozen, and that she owed the bank $2000 for depositing a fake check. No arrests have been made.

N4th Street
Upon returning to her vehicle, the victim observed that her rear passenger window had been broken and her laptop computer was removed. No arrests have been made.

GRAND LARCENY AUTO:
6/23
N 4th Street A 2006 Toyota Matrix was removed from its parking space. The victim had left the vehicle parked and locked and the location, and there are no outstanding tickets or summons that would justify the car being towed. There were no cameras at the scene, and no arrests have been made.

Kingsland Avenue:
The victim states he parked a rental vehicle, borrowed from Ryder Truck Rental, and when he returned it was no longer in its parking space. He said he had been parking his vehicle in that very spot for the last month, and there was a key hidden inside the ashtray. There was broken glass present at the scene, and property totaling $3,510 was also stolen, along with the vehicle. No arrests have been made.

Roebling Street
The victim states that he parked his 2005 Honda Civic at Roebling and N5th Street, and upon returning noticed it missing. A canvass was conducted, but yielded negative results. No arrests have been made.
