Golly G-Train! Greenpoint is Stranded!

In case you haven’t noticed, all G-train service is suspended for the next three consecutive weekends, which means anyone making the trek from the Garden Spot to the Gowanus Canal is going to have to take the shuttle bus instead. Service is set to resume after the weekend of February 5-8.

According to the MTA, the G-line is undergoing a series of procedures including track and station maintenance, asbestos removal in the Greenpoint Avenue station, a switch replacement at Bedford-Nostrand, fan plant replacement at Jackson Avenue.

G-trains will, however, run every 30 minutes between Forest Hills and Bedford-Nostrand Avenues, in order to provide transfers from 10:30pm-5am.
