Check fraud on Broadway between Berry and S. 6th Streets: A friend of the Yirein Chapel Funeral Chapel stole a chapel check for $3,000, made it out to himself and cashed it. Other checks have been deposited in the conman’s account in the amount of $4000, $775, $1206 in cash. A palm phone was also stolen. The matter is under investigation. No arrests have been made yet.

Car theft on Manhattan Avenue between Varet and Moore Streets: The victim states he parked his white 1987 Buick Park Avenue and went to visit a friend. When he returned the car was gone. The victim did not owe tickets and there was no broken glass at location. No arrests have been made.

Car Theft on South 5th Street between Bedford and Driggs Avenues: A car thief stole the a blue 2002 Volkswagon Jetta. There was no broken glass at the scene. No arrests have been made.
Burglary on Metropolitan Avenue: An employee returned to Metro Diner to pick up his jacket. Upon entry he noticed the air conditioner behind the register was pushed in. He checked the register and noticed $80 missing from it. No arrests have been made.

Robbery on Humboldt Street: When the victim woke up in the morning she noticed that her boyfriend had left the apartment. She suspects he left with her bank card. She contacted the bank and was notified that the card was used, and that $800 was withdrawn. Her name is the only name on the account. The investigation is underway. No arrests have been made.
Robbery from parked car on Rutledge Street: A burglar stole a Hilti, Makita drills and a jack hammer drill from a parked car. The tools are valued at $1500. Vehicle is not commercial and there is no camera at location. No arrests have been made.
Robbery on Scholes Street and Graham Avenue: Three robbers snatched a purse off of a 72-year-old woman who was walking to the subway. They fled with the pocketbook valued at $80, which only contained a key card and an address book. No arrests have been made.
Car theft on Keap Street: The victim parked his white 2000 Toyota Corola. When he returned, the vehicle was missing. Canvass conducted with negative results. No signs of broken glass at the scene. No arrests have been made.
Car theft at South 5th Street: The victim parked his silver 2009 Subaru Sailoff. When he came back he found the car missing. There was no broken glass at the scene. No arrests have been made.

Assault on Bedford Avenue: A teenage black male and a Hispanic female, who looked about 25, approached the victim, a middle-aged woman, from behind. The male said “You don’t live here, we live here,” brandishing a boxcutter. He proceeded to cut the victim’s left wrist. Both then ran away. No arrests have been made.
Burglary from parked truck on Boerum Street: When the driver returned to his parked truck, he noticed that the rear door was open. Three cases of unknown Duane Reade property which he was delivering were missing. The vehicle is a commercial vehicle, and the contents removed were company property. There were no signs of forced entry or tool marks on vehicle. No arrests have been made.
Burglary on Devoe Street: The victim heard a noise in his backyard and went to the window. He saw a white/Hispanic man with a pockmarked face, wearing tattered black clothes under a waist-length blue coat and holding a cart. When the victim knocked on the window, the man proceeded to flee with the cart. The victim chased the burglar down Metropolitan and Morgan avenues where he lost sight of him. The victim found the cart with some of the stolen items, however, several missing items are still missing including three ladders valued at $380, unknown amount of aluminum worth $500, scaffolding parts valued at $1000 and a hand truck costing $300. The burglar must have made multiple trips, as not all of the property was recovered. He left behind a backpack with bolt cultures in the victim’s backyard. No arrests have been made.
Vandalism on Morgan Avenue: Burglars smashed the passenger window of the victim’s 1999 black Nissan Max and broke the ignition. Nothing was stolen from inside the car. No arrests have been made.

Car theft on Driggs Avenue and S. 5th Street: The victim parked his red 2006 Nissan Maxima at 2:30 AM. When he went to use it at 5 PM, he discovered the car was missing. Vehicle was not impounded. No arrests have been made.
Assault on Maujer and Humboldt Streets: During a verbal dispute outside of a party the perpetrator broke a glass bottle on the ground and hit the victim on the head with it, injuring his head. Jalloh Samba,19, was arrested.
