Police Blotters: 90th Precinct

Sexual Assault at Ten Eyck

A 37-year-old man attacked and sexually assaulted his 30-year-old sister at her apartment on Ten Eyck Walk on June 3, according to police.

The victim said that just after 3:00 a.m., her brother unzipped his pants and placed his penis on her foot.

He then grabbed her apartment keys and left the apartment.

He returned just after 10 a.m. that morning and punched her about the head.

He fled the apartment for a second time shortly thereafter.

Phone Smash

An ongoing dispute between two teenagers led to one of the girls smashing the other’s expensive phone.

The girl who made the police complaint alleged that her friend came to her apartment, pushed her door open, grabbed her cell phone out of her hand and then smashed it on the floor.

The girl also alleged that her assailant then hit her face and chest several times, but police were unable to find any indentifying marks.

The police officer who interviewed her a few days later said that the assailant in fact pushed through the door and attempted to punch the victim, which caused the latter to drop her phone and break it.

Phone Punch

A 26-year-old woman was attacked in front of Graham Avenue bar on June 8 for an iPhone, according to police.

The victim said she was waiting outside the bar, texting just after 4 a.m., when an unknown man approached her, punched her in the right eye and took her phone away from her.

The victim however was extremely uncooperative with the police. She refused to make an official complaint at the 90th precinct and rejected the proposal to turn on the iPhone tracking app installed on her phone.

Guitar Attack

An intoxicated woman claimed her boyfriend attacked her with a guitar on May 13, according to police.

The victim told police that just after 10 p.m. that night her boyfriend struck her left leg with his guitar.

While the victim had no visible bruising at the time of making the complaint she was able to provide police with a cell phone image of her injuries when she made an official complaint at the precinct last week.

Police however noted that the victim was intoxicated at the time she reported the crime.

Tag Team Attack

Two thieves ganged up on a 48-year-old man and robbed him of $100 in cash, and a watch on June 7, according to police.

The victim said he was walking at the intersection of Humboldt and Scholes Street just after 3 a.m. that morning when two unknown men approached him.

“Give me what you got,” one of the perps said to the victim, pulling out a black handgun at the same time.

The victim handed over everything he had on himself and the perps dashed through the adjacent projects.

Throwing Bottles

A trio of hooligans tried to attack a man walking along Morgan Avenue on June 4, according to police.

The 31-year old victim was walking on Morgan Avenue when three teenagers came up at him from the front and began throwing plastic and glass bottles at him.

They missed on all attempts. Defeated, they ran down the stairs at the adjacent subway stop.

Police said this is the third such bottle-throwing incident in the last three months.
