Deliveryman Attacks: Part 1

A 34-year-old deliveryman was robbed at gunpoint while making a delivery at the intersection of Manhattan Avenue and Withers Street, according to police.

The victim told police that it was just after 1 a.m. when he was approached by a man who held a gun up to his chest and threatened to kill him.

The victim forked over the $70 he had in his pocket.

The perp fled the scene with the cash, and the victim was unharmed.

Deliveryman Attacks: Part 2

In a similar incident, a 45-year-old deliveryman was robbed at gunpoint while making a delivery on McGuinness Boulevard, according to police.

He too was approached by an unknown man carrying a black firearm.

“Don’t move, don’t move, this is a burglary,” the perp is believed to have said to the victim.

The perp then searched the victim’s pockets and retrieved $50 in cash and made off on foot along Huron Street.

Bottle Breaking

A 25-year-old patron of a North 11th Street dance club received a rude shock on May 25 when he was attacked on the head with a glass bottle, according to police.

The victim said he was dancing at the bar, and just after 10 p.m. He was approached from behind by an unknown person who smashed a bottle on his head.

He walked himself to Woodhull Hospital where he was treated for lacerations to his head.

Break-In

A 59-year-old North 7th Street resident was robbed on May 26 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., when she was away from her home, according to police.

The victim said she returned home in the afternoon to discover that her front door had been broken in and her home had been robbed of her TV, camera, sunglasses, and watch among other items.

Police are continuing to investigate the matter.

Identity Theft

An attempted ATM robbery was cut short by one of the bank’s employees, according to police.

An unknown man was trying to break into an ATM located outside a Bedford Avenue bank on May 26 in the early hours of the morning.

However a store clerk had only just opened the store and noticed a man outside the bank hidden under blue tarp attempting to break open the ATM.

The clerk chased after the robber but was unsuccessful.

He was however successful in saving the bank thousands of dollars in cash.
