TASTE Nibbles Away at the Cost of a Community Center

The third annual TASTE Williamsburg Greenpoint was a huge success Sunday, September 9th, leaving Brooklyn’s foodies well fed and the Northside Town Hall Community and Cultural Center (NTHCCC) better funded.

The event, held at North 11th Street’s CitiStorage headquarters, featured offerings from more than 50 of North Brooklyn’s best restaurants, bars and artisanal food and drink purveyors. Proceeds from the well attended TASTE benefit the NTHCCC. When completed, the Center, which will be housed in the former Engine Company 212, will provide a permanent home for community groups Neighbors Allied for Good Growth (NAG) and the People’s Firehouse, Inc. (PFI), an exhibition space for local cultural and arts organizations and a community meeting space.
