The Greenpoint Gazette Guide to Neighborhood Schools

Welcome to our first neighborhood schools guide. We hope to make this an annual tradition that helps parents discover the many programs and activities offered by our schools. Thanks to Megan Soyars for tirelessly following up with all the schools that participated and to Councilmember Diana Reyna and Maria Bautista of her staff for their support in assembling this issue. Special thanks to the schools, of course, and to our friend and new District 14 Superintendent, Alicja Winnicki, for writing the forward to this issue.

  1. Why are certain schools never mentioned when “D 14 schools” are talked about, honored or highlighted? Schools like JHS 50; PS 157. 120,247,59 to name a few. What are we? Chopped liver?
