Little Dogs in Little Costumes!

The District Dog Parade in McGolrick Park

This Halloween, hundreds of four-legged Greenpointers donned elaborate costumes, along with their owners, and pranced around our very own McGolrick Park at the 2nd annual District Dog Halloween Parade. Sponsored by District Dog, a pet boutique and spa, the parade gave all the dogs in the nabe a chance to dress up, strut their stuff and compete for the best outfit. This year’s theme was, “dress your name,” inspiring owners to dress their pups up like a bottle of Bailey’s Irish Cream, a bento box, Amelia Earhart, a loaf of Wonder Bread, Eyore from Winnie the Pooh, Elvis (complete with sideburns and gold sunglasses) and many more.
