Winter Beach Bazaar to Take On Dreary Storm Conditions

At Franklin Street’s Diamond Bar, the bone-chilling temperatures are giving customers the perfect reason for donning their finest summer gear this President’s Day weekend.

On Saturday, February 15th, the bar is organizing it’s first ever Winter Beach Bazaar – appropriately right in the middle of the onslaught of snowstorms battering the city week after week.

Bar owner David Pollack hopes the Bazaar will be an escape from just that sense of dreariness that has been dampening spirits of late.

“We thought it would be a really fun thing to do during a winter that has been particularly rough,” said Pollack. “All our retailers are local and we will even have someone shucking oysters.”

Among the retailers present will be travel-wear brand Wax & Cruz, beachwear brand Brooklyn Beach, and jewelry crafted by Neur Jewelry.

Fish Tacos along with beer from Montauk Brewing and Barrier Brewing will add some extra warmth in the frigid conditions.

There will even be a Hawaiian shirt contest to stay true to the spirit of the beach party. The best shirt will win a $20 tab at the bar. And any kind of Hawaiian gear, for that matter, ensures a free drink.
