The Greenpoint Lions Club will be holding their annual supermarket food drive to help families in our community. Volunteers will be at the entrances of the Keyfood store on McGuinness Blvd. and Met Foods, on Russell and Driggs asking patrons to donate non-perishable foods as they exit the stores.
All donated food will go to the food pantries of three local churches to supply Greenpointers in need.
Volunteers include Lions Club members, church members, students from local schools, friends and neighbors wanting to help others.
The hours for the drive are, Fri., Nov. 21 6 to 9PM, Sat. and Sun., Nov. 22 and 23 9AM to 6PM.
Thank you to all who want to share with those in need in the Greenpoint community.
