Councilmember Steve Levin is asking constituents: “What would you do with $1 million?” Residents are invited to tell Levin how to spend one million dollars of City capital funds on neighborhood projects. In the spring, they will vote on the winning projects. The process, called “Participatory Budgeting,” has allowed New Yorkers’ their first opportunity to vote on how some of their tax dollars are spent.
