Your Anti-Valentines Day Valentines Day Party

This is a dance party in two parts:

Part 1: Dance the Pain Away. From 8-10 pm, Adventure[s] will play you songs about breaking up, bitterness, longing, lusting, cheating, unrequited desires, bad relationships, revenge…from “ You’re So Vain” to “You Oughta Know” to “Heartless” and probably “Bad Romance.” Mope, jump around, work it all out.

Part 2: Let’s Get it On. After 10 pm, it’s time to move on. Find your new Mr. or Ms. Right Now. Adventure[s] will bring you songs to seduce by—“Let’s Get it On” and “I Want Your Sex” and maybe that witchhouse remix of “Oops (oh my)” and definitely Britney’s “Hold It Against Me.” Y’know, songs the uncouth would refer to as “baby-makin’ music.”

Your Adventure[s] DJs will be taking requests all night, including shoutouts to your ex- or future lovers. Want to air a grievance or publicly announce a crush? We got you. If you have ideas now, email adventuresbk@gmail.com with the song you’d like us to play (either breakup or make out) and any relevant info you want us to shout out live at the party. We’ll announce a last-call for requests at the party—perfect if you have your eye on someone special and want a very public introduction before the evening ends.
